Affiliate Revenue Than Keywords and SEO

Building a website is complex and it takes time. One of the most important aspects of building a website is search engine optimization (SEO). If your website has poor optimization you will not get good rankings in the search engines cutting yourself off from a vast amount of web traffic. About 90% of web surfers use the search engines as their primary source of finding what they are looking for. There is no doubt that you must implement good SEO tactics and use the right keywords for your niche.

However, there is more to web development than SEO and keywords. For example let’s say that you spent a tremendous amount of time focusing on driving traffic to your website, but forgot to make sure that the user experience on your website was a good one. In the end all you will do is drive traffic to your website just to have them hate their experience so much they decide to never come back.

User experience is crucial to converting web surfers into paying customers or repeat visitors. Information is key for a good user experience. This means making sure that all links, sections, categories, and products are presented in a clear and logical manner. Your site needs to easily flow from one section to the next.

You do not want to confuse your visitors!Providing clear information is the best way to get a user to click the “buy” button.

This means having a complete description of the item on the product page and ideally having at least a partial description on the links to the product page. For example if you sell a gasoline generator on your website you do not want the link to this product to simply say “Generator.” Rather, it should say “Gasoline Generator.” If you can, be even more specific and say “5,000 Watt Gasoline Generator.” Good information flow goes hand in hand with good SEO tactics.

You can think of it like this: Good SEO sets the appointments, but it is the content on the website that closes the sale. Before you put anything on the internet always put yourself into the shoes of your target audience and focus your keywords and search engine optimization around that.

This thought process is as equally true for affiliate marketers as people with traditional sales web sites. Actually I would say it is even more important for the information on your affiliate pages to be laid out in a clear and highly targeted manner. Typically when someone clicks through to an affiliate page they are looking for very specific information: If your affiliate page does not present them with that information or capture the visitor’s attention within a handful of seconds that customer will be lost.

One of the most important elements of any web site regardless of its type is the lead in. This is the first thing the web surfer sees when they click through to your webpage. Whether it is a catchy title, or flashy picture, make sure your lead will capture your audience and make them want to browse through the rest of the page.

Searching For Effective Keywords

Finding the right keywords or keyword phrases for your web site is a never ending process. Just because you thought up some cute words you think might work, won’t really matter, if no one is searching for that particular keyword or phrase. It is recommended that you take some time and do a search of your own, on some keywords for a specific product or service of interest. Let’s say, you are interested in a new cat….just searching the keyword “cat” is going to give you an overall query reply of millions of results. You can narrow the search to “black cats”, and your search results will be considerably less. If you would search for “bobtail black cats” your results would be even less.

The point here is to use terms that the everyday individual person searching for a specific item, can narrow that search down to maybe a few thousand in their query results. Choosing the right key words, you can optimize your search engine optimization campaigns to exactly what people are looking for. You may get fewer leads, however, the leads you do get, are going to be a premium quality lead for follow up, and possibly a nice sale.

There are numerous ways you can determine which keywords you may want to start with. Compile a list of what you think maybe a nice group of keywords. Now narrow that original list down, to the keywords you think that are really laser focused, describing your business opportunity. Now you can search those terms, and you will possibly find that someone else is already on page one of Google with your keyword. Not a Problem!! View your competitors web site source code, see what keywords they are using to have such a high page rank. Add some of your potential competitions keywords into your list. Do some more research if you’re still not comfortable with your choice of keywords. Make sure you save your original keyword list, because you will probably being changing some of your keywords or keyword phrases sometime in the future. If you’re lucky, you may hit it just right on your first try, however, having a backup list here will save you a lot of time in the future, if you really need to do some changes later on.

If you’re searching some of the most popular ad sense keywords with Google, you may not want to go for some of the higher search words they suggest. You may want to try to gain top positions with the search engines, using some less popular words for now. Once you learn the process and have some of your keywords in good positions, then you can start experimenting with the more popular words and phrases. Dream High….but, not to high. Once you gain page rank….then add a popular keyword in your source code every now and then. Try to keep the total character count, in your keyword section of your source code, to about 300-500 characters.

Your goal here, is to earn “Top Positions on Google” and some of the other fine search engines. Page one is the goal of every one out there on the internet, so it’s going to take a lot of hard work, fine tuning and writing those keyword rich articles and point some links to your business opportunity web site every single day. By following this process you should gain popularity with the search engines rather quickly.

Don’t believe for a minute, that all of the good keywords and keyword phrases are already taken. With hard work and fine tuning to your site, you may be able to gain those top spots from your competitors. Some of the low volume keywords can be just as effective as some of the most popular words. Add your touch of genius to a keyword, and make it a powerful keyword phrase. Never get discouraged. Just a word of encouragement here, If I can do it, so can you.

There are some tools available online that may help you with this ongoing task of finding good keywords. This author doesn’t recommend or endorse any particular tool here. Search the internet and see if there is one or more tools that you can incorporate into your own arsenal of marketing tools, to help you with this ongoing task.

Running a Search Engine Optimisation UK Company

Taking a Search Engine Optimisation UK company from a college start-up to a million dollar enterprise is a momentous task. While SEO is a one of the most in-demand business niches right now, it is also the most crowded one. This article shares snippets from collected wisdom on running a SEO company.

Usually, when a business owner walks into the offices of an SEO company, he is bombarded with theories on working of Google’s search algorithm and the importance of page ranks.  While introducing a potential client to the basics of SEO is a good idea, it has been proven to be less effective than an explanation in terms of revenues and sales. You must remember that business owners don’t understand the importance of search rankings; they would connect better with an explanation on the revenues that your SEO services would help them generate. A good idea is to find a website’s current traffic and conversion rate, multiply it with their average order value and present it with the product of potential traffic with their existent average order value for comparison. Remember to talk in dollars instead of hits.

When you are aiming for six figure SEO deals, you must remember to pay equal (if not more) attention to retaining your existing clients as to acquiring new ones. Present your clients with a quarterly traffic analysis along with aims for the next quarter. Again, remember to present goals and accomplishments in terms of profits instead of pure traffic.

As your company begins driving in cash, don’t go overboard with extravagant spending. Designer office furniture and luxury vacations are better saved for when your profits stabilize around the million dollar mark. However, remember to keep your employees happy with bonuses and perks, when deserved.

Lastly, even if you can drive a website to Page Rank 1, it is still important to maintain your own visibility. Don’t shy from advertising, both online and offline. Like all businesses, an SEO enterprise requires extensive brand building for maximizing profits. Write guest posts at various SEO blogs, do SEO work for blogs at a lower or zero cost, speak at conferences and conduct seminars and workshops.

An SEO company is a very dynamic organization. You must constantly devise new ways of acquiring and keeping clients. No matter how good you are with search engine algorithms, brand building still remains at the heart of a profitable SEO company.
